A Little Bio
From a young age, animals have been apart of my life. In fact, I thought I was an animal!! Next to animals, Art was my best friend. I started drawing before I could talk and have had some sort of pen or pencil in my hand since. I was privileged to go to Rollings School of the Art in Summerville, SC and spent 4 years studying all forms of art from pencil drawing to African batik.
As time went on I spent the next 15+ years working in the veterinary medicine field taking care of those animals I loved so much. Planned to continue my education and ride it all the way to my own clinic.
Unfortunately life had its own planned. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder), a car accident that triggered my body to make defective collagen. Since that event, I have gone through a lot of personal physical and mental battles and still continuing with my health.
Life has a way of bringing life back. During these dark times, I had my Art and realized this is my true calling. I am able to create and bring your furry (or not so furry) friends in such a way that you will have a piece of them forever. It is my calling and my friend. I love not only creating these works but it adds more people to my family. My art is part of my heart. I pour every ounce of my soul into bringing these animals to life.
